 일사이 갤러리는

한 달에 한 번만 전시합니다

We hold only one exhibition a month.

멀리 있는 지인이 전시를 보러 올 시간, 

지역에 소문이 퍼질 시간, 

충분히 전시를 관람할 시간을 두기 위해
매달 1일에 열고 28일에 닫습니다.

Time for a friend from far away to visit,
time for word to spread through the neighborhood,
time to look, and look again.
We open on the 1st and close on the 28th.

순천 원도심 영동길의 8평 크기 전시실은
작은 공간이기 때문에 한 사람의 이야기를 온전히 담아냅니다.

An 8-pyeong (about 26㎡) room on Yeongdong-gil, in the old town of Suncheon.
Small enough to hold one person's story, whole.

일사이 갤러리는 콘텐츠 스튜디오
일하는 사람들 이야기에서 출발했습니다.

창작자들의 완성된 결과물 이면에 있는 과정의 무게를 알기에
우리는 그 과정의 이야기를 조명합니다.

Gallery 142 began as People Who Make*, a content studio.
 The name 142 is a play on the Korean words for "stories of people who work."

We know the weight of the process behind a finished work,
so we turn the light on that process.
